London garage band that set out to do more tan recreate a past era. Hey Girl Records proudly releases their third vinyl, Until that Day, an authentic slice of folk-punk, clearly inspired by those maniacal Byrds and Love copyist that graced the early Pebbles comps. Think the incessant jangling of The Squires and The Dovers, then add powerful vocals and a stinging guitar breat or two to the mix. The 45 also boasts the glorious Her Heart of Stone, powered by a riff that is as dirty as anything The Standells ever conjured up. The band came together as a kind of blind faith-style supergroup of the London garage scene. Ben was plaing in Speak & The Spells, Phil in Organ Morgan, and Claude Pelletier in The vinyl Stitches”. But with time all things come to an end and they became The Kumari.
